Built for everyone.
Free tools only count as free if everyone can use them. On this site, accessibility is a requirement, not a feature.
Our commitment
We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA across bytewish.work, and we treat anything short of that as a bug to fix.
What we build in
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, skip links, and a clear heading order
- Full keyboard support with visible focus styles
- Text contrast at or above the WCAG AA thresholds on every surface
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences and Windows High Contrast mode
- Every page works without JavaScript
How we test
Every change runs through two automated engines before it ships: IBM Equal Access Accessibility Checker and Deque axe-core. Changes merge only at zero violations from both. One thing the engines cannot judge on their own is target size, because the rule turns on the spacing between targets, so we measure that separately on every page at phone and desktop widths. Contrast over gradients is checked by hand.
Found a barrier?
Tell us and we will fix it. Email [email protected], or call or text +1 (605) 910‑7179. It helps to know the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using.
This statement covers the bytewish.work website.
