The short version

On this website

- No analytics or tracking scripts
- No ads
- No third-party requests: fonts and every asset load from bytewish.work
Hosting
bytewish.work is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosts, Cloudflare may log standard technical data such as IP addresses to operate and protect the service. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Donations
The donate button opens Stripe in a new tab. Payment happens entirely on Stripe's site under the Stripe Privacy Policy, and card details never touch bytewish.work.
Software agents can donate too, through an endpoint we run at /donate/mpp. It hands a payment authorization and an amount to Stripe and keeps no record of its own, and no card number reaches it either.
Email and phone
If you email or call us, we use what you share to respond and to keep the records nonprofit law requires. We do not sell it.
Text messages
Our phone line can send and receive text messages. We text only to continue a one-to-one conversation you started with us, and we send no marketing or automated texts. If you text us, we use your mobile number and what you write to reply and to keep the records nonprofit law requires.
No mobile information is shared with third parties. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for any purpose, including their marketing or lead generation. We do not sell mobile numbers, and we do not use them for marketing of any kind.

Mailing list
Our mailing-list form sends your name, email, and any address you enter to our own application at app.bytewish.work, where we store it to send you updates and, if you gave an address, for donation receipts and mailings. We never sell it, and you can ask us to remove you at any time by emailing [email protected].
The app
app.bytewish.work is a separate application with its own accounts, and its own policies apply there.
