We started building Timekeeping in January 2024, right after the foundation earned its 501(c)(3) status. The goal from day one was a tool a team could actually run on, given away for free.
This first stretch was about getting the basics right:
- Secure sign-in with OpenID Connect
- Projects to organize the work being tracked
- A running timer with a full history you can create, edit, and delete
None of it flashy, all of it the groundwork for what comes next: turning tracked hours into paychecks.
